Scent Stories: Kinga

Hi everyone, It’s nice to meet you all. I started my membership with Parfumado three months ago. So you could say I’m still a newbie. I work in the new world of augmented reality, think NFT’s, Snapchat and Instagram filters. But one of my biggest passions is fashion, and I don’t think you can be into fashion without being a perfume lover. My favourite fragrance families are Floral and Gourmand.

Meet Kinga

My name is Kinga, it's Hungarian. I studied journalism in the UK (shoutout Coventry University), and I now live in Haarlem, in the Netherlands. In my short time with Parfumado my tastes have already changed, I’m quickly falling in love with the niche brands on offer.

What are your three favourite perfumes?

My three favourite perfumes are Japan - Costume National, In love with the Cocos - Fugazzi and Good Girl - Carolina Herrera. Each one has a really unique fragrance, and between them, I have something to wear no matter my mood.

What does perfume mean to you?

To me, perfume is like a boost of confidence or beauty. Is it as vital as taking your vitamins or working out often? No. However, perfume does make an average day noticeably sweeter. If I’m all dressed up without perfume, I feel incomplete. So for me, perfume is like blooming flowers or a golden sunset. It’s the cherry on top of the cake.

What is your ideal scent/perfume?

I find it difficult to pinpoint one particular scent that would be ‘ideal’. Since starting with Parfumado, I’ve been discovering new fragrance notes left and right. I’m sure there are notes out there that I would love but haven’t smelt yet. I think the ideal scent is one that keeps changing and adapts to the environment it is in. if a perfume house can do that, I’ll be first in line.
