Founders favourites: Martijn

Martijn is one of the founders of Parfumado and has been a perfume lover for years. After his studies, he ended up in the perfume industry and has been hooked ever since. "A perfume is actually water that smells really good and makes a lot of people really happy one day... How beautiful is that!" Martijn started Parfumado with the idea of making the search for perfumes more personal, easy and fun.

In this blog, you will find out about his favourite perfumes.  If they sound like your thing, simply add them to your own perfume calendar!

Reminds me of...

Classic cologne like in a barbershop, but slightly woodier. In my opinion, a perfume that nobody does NOT like!

Smells like ...

Citrus, almost anti-mosquito, and becomes more 'woody' with the hours.

Reminds me of...

Summer holidays and the beach. It has a milky quality to it, just like Le Labo's popular Santal 33! I really like sandalwood anyway. It is a fresh fragrance for autumn.

Smells like ...

Like the title says, sandalwood! It is woody, soft, almost soothing. The musk gives it a clean feel too.

Reminds me of...

What a discovery this has been for me! Green, bergamot, citrus - everything I love, and with a good presence too! Absolutely top-notch. For the spring, though.

Reminds me of...

Something subtle. Not necessarily present, fresh, accessible... Vague, isn't it? Haha. Clearly in the citrus/woody/musky corner.

Smells like ...

Combination of something sharp, something synthetic and citrus. Some find it dusty, but this perfume is sooo good. Think of a gin tonic in the spring... in Copenhagen perhaps or some other trendy city.

Reminds me of...

Molecule 01 by Escentric Molecules. Also based on molecules, perfect for mixing with another fragrance. This is really worth trying if you are looking for something special that is refined and warm.

Smells like ...

Ambroxan, the molecule that exudes warmth and is also sexy. If you like Molecule 01, you should try this and otherwise :)
