Terms & Conditions
On this page, we are informing you of the conditions under which we enter into agreements with you and deliver the products you have ordered. In these General Terms and Conditions, ‘we/our’ refers to Parfumado.
Please read these General Terms and Conditions carefully before ordering a product from the Parfumado Shop or taking out a Subscription with us. These General Terms and Conditions apply to all agreements, deliveries, orders, promotions and sampling campaigns carried out by us or on our behalf. Subscriptions: a Monthly Subscription, Prepaid Subscription and Perfume Gift Card Subscription for perfume. With each Subscription, you will receive a travel size perfume bottle every month for a fixed price.
Gift Card Subscription: a subscription for a fixed number of months that is activated via a Parfumado Gift Card.
Interested Party: a person who has subscribed to the latest Parfumado news, updates and offers and sampling actions, without having placed an order or taken out a subscription.
Lock Moment: seven (7) days before the Shipping Date.
Monthly Subscription: a perfume subscription that is taken out for an indefinite period of time.
Parfumado: Parfumado B.V., a company registered in the Netherlands with the Chamber of Commerce number: 68443048 and with its registered office at Joop Geesinkweg 201, 1114 AB, Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Parfumado Gift Card: a gift voucher issued by Parfumado to start a Gift Card Subscription. The Gift Card is valid for a period of 24 months from the date of issuance by Parfumado. After that date, the Gift Card expires and can no longer be redeemed.
Parfumado Group: Parfumado together with its affiliated companies Rocket Campaigns B.V. and Parfumado Holding B.V.
Products: products offered via the Parfumado Shop which are not Subscriptions, such as full-size bottles of perfume, travel cases in various colours, gift boxes with several travel size vials of perfume, room sprays, and other related products and accessories.
Service Countries: The Netherlands, Belgium and the United Kingdom.
Shipping Date: the date the perfume subscription is shipped, being the 1st or the 15th of the month. The Shipping Date depends on when you first took out your subscription, and your dispatch time can be found in your account details on our website.
Prepaid Subscription: a perfume subscription for a fixed number of months that is paid for in advance.
2. Information about us
On our websites, we sell decanted authentic perfumes in travel size vials and travel cases we have designed, full-size bottles of perfume and related products and accessories. We decant the perfumes into the travel size vials ourselves. Therefore, we cannot be associated with the designer or manufacturer of the perfumes.
3. Information about you
3.1 Our website is only intended for use by people residing in the Service Countries. We do not accept orders from persons located outside these countries.
3.2 By placing an order, you guarantee that you are authorised to enter into contracts, are at least 18 years old (or have obtained the consent of your parent(s) or guardian(s) before entering into the contract) and reside in one of the Service Countries.
4.1 Prices of Subscriptions and Products are based on the local currency of the relevant Service Country and include VAT. Shipping is free, unless indicated otherwise in your order summary.
4.2 We reserve the right to change product prices and delivery charges at any time. Changes do not affect orders for which you have already received an order confirmation.
4.3 We reserve the right to change the prices of Subscriptions during the term of the agreement, of which you will be informed no later than fourteen (14) days in advance. You will then have the option to cancel your Subscription within ten (10) days without incurring any cancellation costs.
5. Subscriptions: Perfume Selection & Duration, Suspension and Cancellation
5.1 Perfume Selection: every month you can choose which perfume from our range you wish to receive. You have up to eight (8) days before the Shipping Date to choose. If you have not made a choice by then, you will automatically receive a perfume we select.
5.2 Monthly Subscription: is entered into for an indefinite period and can be cancelled on a monthly basis.
5.3 Prepaid Subscription: is entered into for the prepaid period and then automatically converts to a Monthly Subscription. If you cancel the subscription during the prepaid period, the remaining perfumes will not be sent to you. Upon cancellation of a Prepaid Subscription, the prepaid amount will not be refunded. If you wish to cancel your Prepaid Subscription after the prepaid period, you may – in deviation from article 6.3 – cancel the subscription no later than the last day of the last prepaid month.
5.4 Gift Card Subscription: runs for the fixed number of months of the gift card and automatically expires when the last month has passed.
6. Suspension and Cancellation
6.1 You can suspend any Subscription for one (1), two (2) or up to three (3) consecutive months. After the suspended month or months, your Subscription will automatically be reactivated.
6.2 You must suspend the Subscription in your account settings no later than eight(8) days before the Shipping Date. If you notify us that you wish to suspend your Subscription less than eight (8) days before the Shipping Date, this will only take effect as of the following month. There is no charge for suspending your Subscription.
6.3 If you wish to cancel your Prepaid Subscription or Monthly Subscription, you must do so through your account settings on our website no later than eight (8) days before the Shipping Date. If you notify us that you wish to cancel your Subscription less than eight (8) days before the Shipping Date, this will only take effect from the following month. There is no charge for cancelling your Subscription. The Gift Card Subscription will expire automatically; see also article 5.4.
6.4 If you as a subscriber fail to pay your monthly subscription fee, we may decide to cancel your Subscription with a seven (7) day notice period. We will inform you of this in writing.
6.5 We may cancel agreements with subscribers or other customers with immediate effect if they act contrary to our General Terms and Conditions or who, in our opinion, abuse promotions, offers or the services of Parfumado in general. We will inform you of this in writing. If you have already paid for a Product, your money will be returned within fourteen (14) days and you will not be sent a Product.
6.6 You may re-subscribe at any time after cancelling a Subscription, but we reserve the right not to allow re-subscription if we previously decided to terminate your Subscription.
6.7 Please note that cancelling or suspending your Subscription does not mean you will be removed as an Interested Party. The reason for this is to facilitate any activation of a Subscription and to enable you to use other services we offer. If you want to be removed as an Interested Party, please contact Customer Happiness.
7.1 You have a fourteen (14) day cooling-off period after taking out a Monthly Subscription or Prepaid Subscription. You can cancel your Monthly Subscription or Prepaid Subscription during this period by sending an email to Customer Happiness indicating that you are invoking your right of withdrawal within the fourteen (14) day cooling-off period. If the Shipping Date occurs during your cooling-off period, you must return the first month’s package you received to us. Your first month’s package must be in its original condition, unused and undamaged. As soon as we have received the package in good order, we will confirm the cancellation during the cooling-off period in writing.
7.2 After receiving a product from the Parfumado Shop, you have a fourteen (14) day cooling-off period. If you want to return your order, please contact Customer Happiness. The product must be in its original condition, unopened, undamaged and, if applicable, sealed. After you have received our confirmation of your return request, please return the product within fourteen (14) days to:

7.3 Contrary to articles 7.1 and 7.2, no cooling-off period applies to personalised products. These products cannot be returned or exchanged for money. Parfumado Gift Cards can only be returned if they have not been cashed and have not been personalised (hard copy).
7.4 You will have to bear the costs of the return shipment. We recommend that you keep a shipping receipt so that you can prove that you sent your order to us.
7.5 As soon as we have received the returned product in good order, we will transfer the full purchase amount to your account within fourteen (14) days, provided that the conditions for return as set out in articles 7.1 (Subscriptions) and/or 7.2 (Products) have been fulfilled.
8.1 You can only make use of the payment methods we offer, on the basis of the applicable terms and conditions for the respective payment method.
8.2 Monthly Subscription: payment for the Monthly Subscription is remitted by authorising direct debit until the subscription is cancelled by you or us. The amount will be debited from your account on or around the relevant Lock Moment.
8.3 Prepaid Subscription: payment is remitted by paying the subscription costs at once and in advance.
8.4 Gift Card Subscription: payment is remitted in the Parfumado Shop when the Gift Card is purchased, according to the payment process in the Parfumado Shop.
8.5 If a direct debit for the Monthly Subscription fails, you will receive an email from us requesting you to pay the outstanding amount via a payment link within five (5) days. If the amount has not been paid after five (5) days, we will send a second payment reminder with a payment link to pay the amount within (15) days of receipt. As long as we have not received payment, your Subscription will be put on hold and we will not deliver any products to you. If payment is not made, we reserve the right to charge collection costs. We will send you a third payment reminder with a payment link to pay the outstanding amount including statutory collection charges (EUR 40.00 and GBP 34.00 for the UK) within eight (8) days of receipt. If the outstanding amount including collection costs is not paid within eight (8) days of receipt, we reserve the right to engage a collection agency.
8.6 The rules on direct debit in article 8.5 have been drawn up on the basis of the Extrajudicial Collection Costs Compensation Decree (Besluit Vergoeding Buitenwettelijke Incassokosten).
8.7 You are never entitled to suspend payment obligations or to offset them against a claim you have against Parfumado.
9. Promotions, offers and discount codes
9.1 Promotions and sales are valid for the duration indicated and while inventory lasts. Additional promotional conditions may be stipulated for each promotion or sale.
9.2 Discount codes can only be used on the basis of the applicable promotional conditions of the respective discount code.
9.3 If you have purchased a Subscription with us, you can invite a friend to purchase a Subscription using a friend discount code. Your friend can use this discount code to take out a Monthly Subscription with a discount on the first month. Every time you invite a friend, you get to choose one of the rewards visible in your account. These rewards will become visible in your account when your friend confirms the subscription. You will receive your reward together with your perfume on the next Shipping Date.
9.4 You can use a maximum of one discount code per order. It is not possible to combine discount codes or offers. Only two (2) Subscriptions per household may be taken out per discount code.
10.1 Delivery takes place as long as inventory lasts. If delivery is not possible we will contact you and propose a solution, such as an alternative product in case you are a Subscriber.
10.2 Address: We will deliver your order to the address you provided when placing the order. For Subscriptions, you can change your address up to eight(8) days before the Shipping Date. For orders in the Parfumado Shop, you cannot change the address once your order has been shipped.
10.3 Subscription Delivery: if you start your Subscription eight (8) days before the next Shipping Date, we will ship your first fragrance during this Shipping Date. We will do our best to deliver the perfume within seven (7) business days after the applicable Shipping Date and guarantee that the perfume will be delivered no later than thirty (30) days after the applicable Shipping Date.
10.4 Delivery of products from the Parfumado Shop: If you place an order on a business day before 13:00hrs, we will ship your order the same day, unless stated otherwise on the product page. If you order on a business day after 13:00hrs or during the weekend, we will try to fulfill your order on the next business day. The delivery period begins when you have completed the ordering process and have received confirmation from us. We will do our best to deliver your order to you within three (3) business days. For the United Kingdom, the delivery time may be longer and you should allow between three (3) to seven (7) business days.
10.5 The delivery periods included above are indicative and, if exceeded, do not entitle you to dissolve the agreement or to claim compensation. We are not liable for any delays on the part of the mail delivery service. If we are aware of internal delays, we will inform you of this in writing.
10.6 If the specified delivery date has been exceeded, please contact Customer Happiness as soon as possible, but no later than thirty (30) days after the shipping confirmation, so that we can find out what went wrong and offer you a solution.
10.7 The delivery time may be longer around public holidays.
11.1 When you purchase a product in the Parfumado Shop or receive a product from your Subscription, we may ask you to write a review about your experience. We may ask you to choose a nickname, which may be published when the review is published.
11.2 Your review should be accurate, sincere and truthful and include the pros and cons of a product and how it works. Parfumado and our brand partners want your honest opinion in order to improve products. We would like to ask you to keep the following requirements in mind when writing your review:
- it is understandable and contains correct punctuation marks, capital letters, etc.
- is written in Dutch or English
- is not intentionally insulting and does not include obscene, defamatory, discriminatory, or otherwise misleading information
- does not contain any personal information, such as email addresses or telephone numbers
- contains no advertising or information about pricing or purchase locations
- contains no questions or remarks (for this we kindly refer you to our Customer Happiness team).
11.3 The review is an original piece of work written by you personally, which you have not copied from someone else. Please note that any spelling and/or grammatical errors will not always be corrected before your review is published, although we and our brand partners do have the right to correct them. Also, we and our brand partners have the right to make limited technical changes to correct potentially inaccurate, misleading or offensive information. The underlying opinion of your review will not be changed.
11.4 You can only submit one (1) review per product. You may also only submit reviews for products received by you. We collect your email and IP address when you submit the review so we, alongside third parties that we work with, can verify the authenticity of your review and protect against fake reviews.
11.5 You grant us permission to distribute your review together with any information you have shared when submitting your review. This information will be distributed to our brand partners and third party service providers who we may engage to help us collect, verify and share your review.
11.6 You give consent to the publication of your review by Parfumado, our brand partners and other applicable third parties.
11.7 Circumstances may arise that prevent us or our brand partners from publishing your review. Neither we nor our brand partners are obligated to publish a submitted review.
With the Parfumado Group, in addition to our subscriptions and products, we also provide sampling campaigns for beauty and perfume brands. This means that you can claim free perfume and beauty samples or that you can get a free sample with your order. After receiving a sample, you may be asked to fill in a survey and/or write a review .
If you have received a sample of a beauty product or perfume, you cannot derive any rights from it other than that it is an indication of the nature of the product.
13.1 We run a Parfumado Community on Facebook, where members can get in touch with each other to exchange their Parfumado travel size vials. We inform customers about promotions through the Parfumado Community. This group is intended for consumers only.
13.2 In case of inappropriate behaviour, such as but not limited to offering imitations and copies of branded perfumes, posting spam and actively promoting competitors, we reserve the right to delete posts and to remove and/or block members.
13.3 Participation in the Parfumado Community is entirely at your own risk. We are not liable for actions and/or exchanges that take place in the community.

14. Obligations and liabilities
14.1 You may only use the products for their intended purpose. All instructions on the packaging and accompanying information must be followed. No liability is assumed for any deviations in use.
14.2 All our obligations are best efforts obligations. All terms mentioned are indicative.
14.3 We are only liable for damages suffered by you insofar as they are caused by intent or deliberate recklessness on our part. Any liability on our part expires in full 12 months after the date the damage occurred.
14.4 If it is established that we are liable for any damage, we shall only be liable for direct damage arising from or in connection with the execution of a contract. Liability for indirect damage, consequential damage, loss of profit, lost income, damage to goodwill or reputation, etc., is excluded. Our liability shall also be limited to a maximum of the purchase price of the relevant Product or, in the case of a Subscription, (i) the amount paid for the Subscription up to the point at which the damage occurs or (ii) the price of a twelve-month Prepaid Subscription, if lower than the amount under 14.4(i).
15. Complaints procedure
15.1 Upon receipt, you should inspect the product delivered as soon as possible for any shortcomings, such as a leaking bottle, a defective travel case or spray, an incorrect perfume or a missing product.
15.2 You must submit a complaint, including photo or video material as proof, about a defective product to Customer Happiness as soon as possible and no later than thirty (30) days after receipt.
15.3 In the case of missing products, you must file a complaint with Customer Happiness as soon as possible, but no later than within thirty (30) days after receipt of your order.
15.4 We will try to process your complaint as quickly as possible. If we do not expect to be able to process your complaint within a week, we will send you confirmation of the complaint and let you know when we expect to receive a substantive response.
15.5 If the complaint period has expired, we will no longer handle your complaint.
16. Intellectual Property
16.1 Texts, pictures, website, Parfumado Shop, mailings and other materials developed by us or under our control are protected by copyright, trademark, design right or other intellectual property right.
16.2 You may not in any way reproduce, modify, copy, distribute or use the materials for commercial purposes. For your own use, you must comply with all our intellectual property rights.
16.3 We have the right to cite and share on our websites and social media images and texts that customers and Interested Parties post on a website, blog or social media, in which our Subscriptions and Products are visible.
17. Amendments and Disputes
17.1 If, after the agreement has been concluded, it turns out that it is necessary to amend or supplement the contents of the agreement in order to execute it, for example if the chosen perfume is not in stock, we will, in consultation with you, amend the agreement accordingly in good time.
17.2 We reserve the right to amend these General Terms and Conditions.
17.3 A provision that proves to be void or voidable shall in that case be replaced by a provision that comes closest to what we had in mind when drawing up these General Terms and Conditions. If this occurs, it will not affect the other provisions of these General Terms and Conditions.
17.4 All agreements are governed exclusively by Dutch law.
17.5 In the event of a dispute, the court in Amsterdam shall have jurisdiction.
